I have a silly question... what do you do in Adobe Photoshop to get that nice thing border around the icons?

I hope this makes sense.....
1. get you graphic, and make a new layer
2. use the paint bucket option, and colour the new layer black
3. use the magnifying tool and zoom in at 1600%
4. use the marquee tool and select everything except a one pixel border

An easier way in Photoshop is to do the following.

1) Select the entire image.
2) Stroke the inside with a one-pixel border of the color of your choice.

Voila.
