I am so itchy [24 Dec 2009|12:01am] grrliz Here's a movie review that's twenty-two years late: Die Hard remains EFFING AWESOME. We went to see it tonight at the Bloor Cinema and I cannot express how much better movies are on the big screen with an awesome crowd who also love the movie. Crowd reactions like the ones we got tonight are so great when everyone in the audience has seen the movie ten million times. Hilarity and awesome ensued. Also, when we first got there they were projecting the very awesome fireplace DVD on the curtain, which I thought was a nice festive touch. Expect reviews after 10pm! [18 Dec 2009|10:25am] grrliz [ mood | excited ] Today is a big day! Avatar in 3D at 11:30am! The Young Victoria at 3:50pm! Invictus at 7:10pm! All in the same theatre! Hooray for days off! I had been tempted to go see Avatar in IMAX but forgot that schools let out yesterday (WTF, Toronto) so all the IMAX screenings are sold out. It's fine. The Scotiabank is overrun with teenagers anyway, so at least I'll get to see it at a more civilized theatre. I guess I should really get going. Yay! 2 comments|post comment
